Stay at our hideaway by the Swedish countryside in an inner archipelago environment. Only 10 minutes drive from the city centre of Stockholm with all the attractions
Lovely newly refurbished house with all necessities, 250 meters to a lake. South facing on a plot high situated, adjacent to a beautiful forest with marked trails.
Put on your bathrobe and walk down to the little beach for a swim before breakfast in the surrounding private garden. Take the car, bus, ferry or bicycle to the city to enjoy one of the many museums, restaurants, and sights. When you are tired and exhausted of the crowds - take a 10-minute drive to the house and relax in the quiet surroundings. Have a barbecue on the terrace with the big grill. Walking distance to the popular beach Boo-badet, from there you can take the ferry downtown or further out in the archipelago. The house is located in a very silent and safe neighborhood, surrounded by similar houses, which are far away enough not to disturb each other. Don’t be surprised if you are visited by deer or rabbits. The close by national park or the museum Artipelag ( is wonderful for a day trip. Bicycles, Wifi internet, sat TV, well-stocked kitchen, bikes.
The house has been refurbished the last five years. Rooms are spacious and very bright. Since one of our biggest interest is interior design - every small detail is thought of. Most of the time we spend in the new carpenter-built kitchen, which has all the necessary equipment for cooking. The combined living room and dining room has a fireplace, a big comfortable sofa and an exit to the big terrace with a grill and morning and evening sun. There is a 55-inch smart-TV (cable TV, Netflix, Playstation 3) and stereo equipment. Fast Wifi connection. On the lower floor there is a room with a home cinema system, a room with washing machine and tumbler and ordinary rooms.
Two bedrooms on the upper floor, one with a big double bed (180 cm) and one with a standard double bed (160 cm). There is one bedroom with a single bed on the lower level. The couch in the living rooms is very comfortable and designed to make into a bed (single).
On the upper floor there is a bathroom with WC and shower. On the lower floor a guest WC. Both recently completely renovated.
The garden is wonderful. A great design table with space for all friends. A swing for smaller children, and well kept grass lawn and an ocean of flowers. 2023 we increased the size of the patio and 2024 we built an outside shower.
Supermarket 350 meters (open 8-22) and shopping center (Orminge centrum) are within walking distance (shopping center at one bus stop). Also on the way from Stockholm there is a large shopping center (Nacka Forum) with many departments and lower prices, which is excellent for shopping.
Included: The house is fully-furnished and is well-equipped with bed linens, kitchenware, detergents, etc. Usage of sheets and towels are also included as is water and electricity. Each room has installed radiators that can be individually adjusted according to needs. There is also firewood to nibe used in the traditional stove.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at the house, which is very well equipped with all you would need. It is great for kids as well as there are toys and the garden provides outdoor equipment. The lake is close and a great swim, also the grocery store is a walking distance. The host Frederik is very helpful and such a kind person. It really felt very home and cozy staying at their place. Thanks also to the welcome basket. We clearly can recommend a stay at their home.

Summary: We had a great week in a perfectly equipped house. Starting with the welcome gift basket, a beautiful large kitchen to the great terrace, where you can always find a quiet place to relax. Our hosts were immediately available and helped immediately. Thank you again for that. We really enjoyed the time and felt really good.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed the chance to sit outside and have dinner on the deck surrounded by the beautiful garden. The entire home was bright and welcoming. The guide books set out were very useful. We could easily commute to Stockholm by bus. We swam in the nearby lake which was lovely and we would have taken a swim everday if the weather was better. Bikes were available to us, but unfortunately we didn't have time to go for a ride.

Summary: Clean, spacious, quiet, and with everything needed for a relaxing family stay. Would definitely stay here again. One thing to note is that there is a security camera facing the dining room and living room that needs to be unplugged for privacy.

Summary: This stunning home was everything it promised to be, and more. It's beautifully furnished with state of the art technology that my two teenagers loved (home cinema in particular). The location is perfect - lake, beach and swimming within 5 minute walk and Stockholm and the islands close by. The welcome basket was superb - a lovely touch. Beer, wine, nibbles - everything you could want to welcome you after a long journey. The house is quiet and comfortable with every modern convenience and a lovely outside space. We enjoyed a very relaxing week here in beautiful weather. Would recommend 100% . Thanks Fredrik/Josefin for being such fantastic hosts.

Summary: This was our first stop in Scandinavia, and it was perfect for our family of five (kids age 16 and 12 year old twins). The house is very clean and attractive, and well laid out. The beds are comfortable. The house feels like a home, and it is clear that a family spends time there. We had absolutely everything we needed for cooking, relaxing, and playing. There is a beautiful lake a short walk away that is popular for swimming (recommended). The location is quiet, but close enough to conveniences and downtown Stockholm. The owners are very responsive to all inquiries. Overall, staying in this house was a peaceful start to our vacation, and one of our favorite short term rental experiences.

Summary: We lived as a family of five people in the house of Fredrik and Josefin for two weeks in July / August 18. It was one of our best holidays, maybe the best! In advance, my questions were answered very friendly by Fredrik. When we first came to the house, we found everything like described in advance. The house was clean, very well equipped, lovely prepared for us, also a big wellcomebasket with food and drinks! The house is bright, beautiful renovated and cosy, with pretty details. A lot of useful information was provided on papers in the house. We ate outside in the relaxing garden nearly every day! It is a very peaceful area, surrounded by nature and livinghouses. The lounge outside is just great! We had hired a car and it was a really good advice of Fredrik to drive to Kvarnholmen, to park the car there and then to take the boat to Stockholm. Summary: This is a beautiful house in a wonderful location to explore Stockholm and the amazing country side around Stockholm. The garden areas are fantastic for outside living with a great barbecue and furniture. As someone who likes to cook the kitchen was well equipped. The owners left a welcome food hamper with some essentials and luxury items. As a family who enjoys using public transport on holiday this is an ideal base to take the bus into Stockholm. Summary: This is a gorgeous house, stunningly decorated and equipped with everything you could need for a relaxing holiday. If you like cooking the kitchen was absolutely fabulous. It was so restful and calm in a lovely area, very close to the lake where we swam. Fredrik and Josefin left us a huge and very generous welcome basket and were very responsive to all our texts and emails. Our family are keen runners and Fredrik kindly suggested some brilliant running routes which were perfect for my husband and daughter. We hired a car which made getting around very easy, we parked and took the ferry into the centre of Stockholm which was really fun, all very easy from the house. This was definitely one of the loveliest houses we have stayed in and the hosts were so friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Thank you very much Fredrik and Josfin for your hospitality and for welcoming us into your home with such generosity and kindness.
